Founder & Executive Director
Alexis "Lexi" Forbes-Moorehead
Meet Lexi, a visionary leader at the forefront of innovation in the beauty industry. With a passion for cosmetic science and a drive to make a difference, she has dedicated her career to revolutionizing the way we think about beauty. As an award-winning formulation chemist, Lexi has been recognized for her groundbreaking work in developing innovative formulas that not only deliver exceptional results but also prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility. Her commitment to developing innovative products earned her the prestigious 2023 Green Star Award from the Society of Cosmetic Chemists sponsored by Colonial Chemical.
Inspired by her experiences working with beautyprenuers from underrepresented communities who often faced barriers due to lack of financial resources and knowledge about the business and cosmetic science, Lexi founded the Breaking Barriers in Beauty Foundation. Through the foundation, she is on a mission to bridge the gap and break down barriers, ensuring that all beautypreneurs have access to the resources, support, and education they need to succeed.
